Ritual: Another Video Of A Suspected Yahoo Boy Who Burnt His Girlfriend Alive Like A "Burnt Offering"

 

Recall that on the 31st of January, 2022, Nigerians were taken aback by a viral video of an eighteen-year-old boy identified as Soliu Majekodunmi who was paraded alongside with his three friends by the police before the press for killing his girlfriend, Sofiyat for money ritual.

The young suspected ritual killer burnt the head of his girlfriend in a pot and claimed that he was following recipes for money ritual he learnt on a Facebook group.

Since then, the media have been awash by different reports of ritual killings and their victims who are mostly women and children.

Attached below is a dug-up video of a man who set his girlfriend ablaze in 2019. 

While being questioned, the man who gave his name as Victor Orji admitted that he is an "internet fraudster" otherwise known as "Yahoo Boy". He however objected to the allegation that he attempted using his girlfriend as a sacrifice to his money-giving deity. He claimed that he poured petrol on her and set her ablaze in self-defense.

In response to the alarming rate at which desperate male Nigerians seek wealth, regrettably through ways considered inhuman, the Ogun state government and that of the Oyo state have formed a security collaboration to tame the menace.

In the Southwest region of the country, these two states take the lion share of the ritual killings so far recorded in the country.

Note that an unnamed group of "Yahoo Boys" who found the intensified effort of the Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, threatened to go after the governor.
