Five Nigerian Military officers have lost their lives with others critically injured in an accident on their way to repel an attack by men of the IPOB.
The deceased and injured officers from the 302 Artillery Regiment, General Support, Onitsha, were in an MRAP (mine-resistant, ambush protected vehicle) when it skidded and crashed on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

According to reports, they were on their way to Ihiala to meet up with their colleagues at a military checkpoint after receiving information that operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) were planning to attack the checkpoint.
