How Lady Sold Her Three-Month Old Child For N120k, While Lying To Fiance That He Is Dead

One Suleiman Ibrahim has filed a complaint to police against his lover, Justina Yakubu for selling the child she had for him.


According to Suleiman, he as Muslim fell in love with Justina a Christian with the two of them agreeing to marry each other. She later got pregnant for him, delivering a baby boy.


He added that when he wanted to name the child in the Islamic way, she responded by saying the little child had died.


Suleiman claimed he suspected something was amiss with her claim and promptly reported the incident to the police.


The police later swung into action and arrested Justina together with one Esther Romanus, a female nurse who was said to have bought the child for 120,000 naira.


According to Suleiman, Esther had already paid 20,000 Naira to Justina with the agreement to the remaining 100,000 Naira later.


The two of them (Esther and Justina) were later charged before a Yola Chief Magistrate Court with Justina pleading guilty to selling the child to Esther but Esther pleaded not guilty.

Police Prosecutor, Sawe Nicholas in his account told the court that “it was the father of the child, Suleiman, of Mararaban Mubi, who reported the matter to the police on the 2nd February, 2022.”

He said, “Suleiman informed the police that his fiancee of the same address disappeared with their three-month-old, son, Jamilu, to an unknown destination, and later told him that the child had passed away.”

 Sergeant Sawe added that investigation by the police led to the discovery of the said missing child and another five-year-old boy named Vincent Wilberforce.


He notified the court in the First Information Report that the kids were found with Esther Romanus of Jambutu, Yola North Local Government Area, who planned with the mother to sell them out.

 The magistrate, Abdullahi Digil, adjourned the case to 25th February 2022 for ruling on the bail application and the jurisdiction of the court.
