Desmond Elliot Reveals Stunning Things He Did For EndSARS Protesters Which He Is Not Appreciated For By Nigerians

On Wednesday 16th of February, 2022, actor and member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Surulere 1, Desmond Elliot while being interviewed on 'Your View' talkshow on Television Continental (TVC), revealed that he aided the bailout of 15 #EndSARS protesters from police custody who were arrested during the historic EndSARS protest.

Desmond Elliot stated that he was among the first persons who supported #EndSARS Protest when the state House of Assembly was deliberating on the issue. 

He said he immediately intervened when he heard that about 15 protesters were arrested by Area C command. According to him, he was at the police station till noon to ensure that 15 people who were arrested during the protest, were freed.

Recall that Desmond Elliot was backlashed by Nigerians, especially the Youths who expressed their disappointment at a statement credited to him regarding the proposed regulation of social media in Nigeria.

The actor cum politician had noted that the Nigerians youths misuse social media which he said is at the detriment of the peaceful co- existence of Nigerians.
