Popular Nigerian musician, Daniel Dapo Oyebanjo otherwise known 'D'banj' while in a recent interview with Premium Times, revealed that music as a profession is not enough to fund the flamboyant lifestyle showcased by musicians.
He Revealed he has other source of income which gives him more money to run family affairs.
He further stated that music brings one into the room of achieving success, but now depends on how the person makes use of it to make more money.
He said: "I tell people this, music brings you into the room but what you do in that room is entirely up to you. So if you’ve read, which I know you have, you see that I’ve been more focused, especially when I became a family man," he said.
"It’s my sixth year in marriage, and ever since then, I’ve looked for different platforms that would keep my fame and family intact. So if you were to Google Jay Z or the wealthiest musicians in the world, you would see that only 10 percent of their wealth is probably from music." He said.

When asked how profitable music is, the singer stated that music nevertheless is lucrative but can't give one all the luxury displayed on social media or Music videos.
Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo best known with the stage name 'Dbanj' is a Popular Nigerian Singer and businessman. He was born 9th June, 1980 in Zaria.
His father was a military officer who commanded an artillery regiment and his mother, a businesswoman also. His parents are from Shagamu in Ogun State.
D'banj' founded Mo' Hits Records with then his producer, Don Jazzy. The iconic musician has won many music awards to the credit of his musical career.
In 2007, he won Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards, 2014 Best-selling African Artist at the World Music Awards, 2015 Evolution award at the MTV Africa Music awards and many more.
