War Looms In Imo State As Hope Uzodinma Partners With Miyetti Allah To Fight IPOB/ESN

 


The governor of Imo, Hope Uzodinma has reportedly given approval to the request by Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association to collaborate with security agencies in the state to curb the rising insecurity occasioned by the activities of unknown gunmen.

One of the leaders of the group, Sarki Makao revealed on the 15th of January that the Imo State government has granted approval for the collaboration between the Miyetti Allah group and the local security outfits in the state.

Speaking further, he said: “People always accuse Fulani herdsmen of perpetrating the crimes in Imo State and other parts of the country, so we want to prove them wrong, and that’s why we have partnered with security agents to fight crimes.

“We also have vigilante in places like Ebonyi, Zamfara and Kaduna. Our aim is to help government stop the insecurity in the country and bring peace between herdsmen and people in many communities,” Sarki Makoa said

Recall that the state has been grappling with insecurity occasioned by the activities of some unknown gunmen who go on rampage enforcing Sit-at-home order from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Also, there have been reports of  these unknown gunmen coming into faceoff with the Nigeria military whose military operations in the state, rather than bring calmness to the situation, has escalated it with reports of human rights abuse and extrajudicial killings by the officers on the high.
