Nigerians Blame Buhari For Nigeria’s Loss To Tunisia, Says His Video Call To The Team Was Badluck

 The Nigerian Super Eagles yesterday failed to soar against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia as they succumbed to a one-goal defeat from the North Africans.

But prior to the match Sahara Reporters Publisher and former Presidential Candidate, Omoyele Sowore had raised an alarm, claiming the call of Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari was capable of inflicting bad luck on the soaring Super Eagles, who were then the only team in the tournament who had a hundred percent record in the group stage, having won Egypt, Sudan, and Guinea Bissau. The comment section of Omoyele Soworewas littered with the fear that Nigeria may lose against Tunisia with the alleged trend of Buhari having a negative effect on winners once they associate with him.

After the loss to Tunisia, former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri shared the same sentiments as he ascribed the loss to Buhari’s call curse.

Many Nigerian citizens on social media have latched on the insinuation, with a large section believing ‘The Buhari curse’ made the high-flying Super Eagles become a shadow of itself.

One ‘adaekogo’ wrote: ‘It is not normal that a team that was the best in the group stage with hundred percent record failed to record a shot on target against a team that was the best loser in the group stage. What Buhari curse is all about. They should have not picked his call”
