On Tuesday,18th of January 2022, Popular Nigerian singer, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua professionally known with the stage name, Seyi Shay opened up to the public about her sexual life as well as her marriage status. She revealed that she is engaged and will soon tie the knot with her lover whose gender she did not disclose.
She disclosed this in an interview on Beat FM Lagos, Nigeria. The interview was subsequently rebroadcasted on YouTube.
In the YouTube video, the songstress was spotted wearing an engagement ring and when asked about it, she revealed she just got engaged.
Seyi Shay was born on 21st December, 1985 in Tottenham, London, United Kingdom. She wrote and produced three songs for the soundtrack to Konami's video game Crime Life: Gang Wars (2005).
Furthermore, in 2008, she was the lead singer for the defunct pop girl group in which they signed a record deal with Sony's Columbia Records and was managed by Mathew Knowles' Music World Entertainment company.

Seyi Shay has been nominated for many awards and won some awards to her credit.
In 2003, she won (City People Entertainment Awards) Best New Musician of the Year (Female). In 2019 she won (The Headies) Best R&B Single with her hit song.
