The proprietor of Noble Kids Nursery and Primary School, Kawana, Kano, Abdulmalik Tanko has confessed to killing five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar, one of his school students.
Tanko, paraded before newsmen on Friday, January 21, 2022 confessed to placing N100 worth of rat poison into a drink he gave Hanifa and then watched her die. He thereafter buried her inside his school compound. He further appealed to the parents of the murdered girl to forgive him.
In a confessional video trending on social media, Tanko denied killing her for ritual purposes but had to murder her because she identified him while waiting for ransom. He noted that upon identifying him, he had no option than to kill her and after the dastardly act; he buried her in his school premises because he couldn't find another secured place to bury her.

On the reason while he abducted her in the first place, he said he kidnapped the little girl and demanded ransom from her parents because he was going through financial crisis.
