A group, Save Nigeria Movement has enjoined president Buhari to remember the numerous unpunished sins of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo after the later publicly urged Nigerians not to expect any more thing from president Buhari. A public remark that didn't go down well with the above named group.
According to the ex-President, expecting President Buhari to do new thing amounts to "whipping a dead horse".
In reaction, the Save Nigeria Movement accused former president Olusegun Obasanjo of knowing about the political assassination of prominent Yorubas during his reign as the president of Nigeria.
"Former President Obasanjo is further called upon to help the Yoruba nation heal by providing immediate and satisfactory answers to the gruesome murder of late sage Chief Bola Ige; one of Yoruba’s most admired sons. Perhaps, that is what all Yoruba nation and indeed Nigerians want at this moment. How about the gruesome political assassination of Harry Marshal and many others? Former President Olusegun Obasanjo should be magnanimous enough to come clear on these unresolved puzzles around political killings and corrupt enrichment while in Office as President than resort to self pontification", the statement reads in part".
As part of his sins, the group reminded the ex-President how he ordered the Nigerian soldiers to demolish and kill innocent Nigerians in Odi of Bayelsa State and Zakibiam in Benue State.
"At least President Buhari has not mobilized soldiers to demolish communities and kill scores of innocent Nigerians like Obasanjo did in Odi, Bayelsa and Zakibiam, in Benue states respectively during Obasanjo’s reign as President".
The group further accused Obasanjo of hitting the polity and destabilzation with his unconstructive criticism of the president.
