In the 2012 Serie A Season, a rare moment in a match between Lazio and Napoli stands out and have been a point of reference for years now.
It was fourth minute into the game when Lazio Player, Miroslav Klose scored from a corner kick, while his teammates were celebrating his early opener, Klose approached the referee and told him that his goal should be disallowed; he said he had handled the ball before it went into the opponent's (Napoli) net.
The referee with his surprised face, disallowed Klose' goal.
It was at that point Klose earned himself a name in the world football, not for his many goals, nor for his skillfulness but for his rare gesture of sincerity.

The Napoli players could not hide their admiration for Klose as they appreciated him, the vising fans also sang with his name. His name appeared boldly in all the European newspapers.
Notable personalities such as the president of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Sepp Blatrer congratulated Klose via his Twitter handle, thus:“Bravo Miro Klose. With your gesture you have shown yourself to be a champion and a proper player.”
Also, Esteban Cambiasso said: “We should praise the honesty of Klose. We must honour this gesture. It is an example for all children to follow.”
