Truck crushed female traffic warden to death in Calabar

 A heavy duty truck has reportedly crushed a female traffic warden to death in Calabar, Cross River State. It was reported that the unfortunate disaster happened this evening at Wabi junction along the Murtala  Muhammed Highway in the state capital. The truck with registration number  NEPZACR576FTZ  tried to dodge a Nissan Primera Saloon car and ran over the officer who was controlling traffic. The salon car is said to have overtaken the truck and was negotiating left in to Diamond hill when the truck driver swerved to dodge it and ran over the traffic warden. She was crushed into bits. The truck driver was whisked away by security personnel a source said.

Accidents like this can be blamed on the recklessness and irresponsibility of motorists and others and a not demon as it is mostly believed by some Nigerians.  In this festive period there is always high rate of road accidents, The Federal Road Safety Corps should caution drivers against reckless driving to avoid accidents, also passengers should caution their drivers against over speeding to avoid road crashes.
