The Leader Of Yoruba Nation Agitation, Professor Akintoye Resigns

Foremost  Oduduwa nation agitator, professor Stephen Akintoye Adebanji has resigned his members to the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-Determination (NINAS), an umbrella of Secessionist groups in southern and north-central Nigeria.

Professor Akintoye who before his resignation, was also the chairman of NINAS, resigned his position on the ground that NINAS has derailed from the core principles of its formation.

Consequently, all the members of the Illana Omo Oodua, the body for the Yoruba Nation agitators, ceased to be members of NINAS.

In a the statement signed by professor Akintoye and 43 other members of the Illana Omo Oodua, the group claims that another group has been formed to replace NINAS. The group name is given as: South and Middle-Belt People’s Sovereign Movement (SOMPSOM).

Exola Tv understands that the reason Akintoye and the entirety of the Illana Omo Oodua pulled out of NINAS is as a result of NINAS being sold out to the Federal Government; hence, unable to vibrantly push for the Secessionist agenda of its members.

"In the light of the current development in the Yoruba Self-Determination struggle, especially, in Ilana Omo Oodua, it has become very necessary for the Yoruba people to dissociate themselves from the Alliance known as NINAS with immediate effect", the statement reads in part.

Its also valuable to mention that one of the brains behind the formation of NINAS, Mr. Tony Nnadi, is said to have been bought over by the Federal Government of Nigeria

"We thank the Leader of LNC, Mr. Tony Nnadi, for his inputs to the NINAS struggle since inception. However, it is now obvious to most people in the Yoruba Self-Determination struggle that the LNC is not working in tandem with our objective in Ilana Omo Oodua".
