Her Majesty, Queen Silekunola Naomi Bares To The Public The Dirty Linen Of His Majesty Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

Following her announcement of her separation from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the ex-Queen of Ife, Sikekunola Naomi made stunning revelation about the King. In a lengthy Facebook post, the ex-Queen revealed  that  neither religion nor the king's fidelity was the reason for their marriage crisis:" the decision to move on did not come because his majesty is married to another queen", she wrote 

Interestingly, ex-Queen Naomi stated that her ex-husband, King Adeyeye .O. is different from what he is publicly known as:

 “I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realized I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on. Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and see his true self.”

She further declared that she has  abdicated her queenship  over the Ife kingdom  as much as she has to her marriage of the 47-year-old king.

"Today I announce the beginning of a new dawn and the close of a chapter. Today, I am a mother to God’s unique gift. I am no longer a slave to my thoughts of perfection. I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince.”

The recent revelation from the queen rouses questions about the king's personality and doubt over his interpersonal relationship. Recall that the king's marriage  with Zaynab-Otiti Obanor, an Edo state lady only lasted for seventeen months before it crashed in 2017.

Recall also that the king's personality was brought as a public discussion after it was revealed that the king had taken little or no responsibility over the child he had with  Omolara Olatubosun as a teenager. 

Now this new story. What do we make of this  new story of Queen Naomi leaving him? 

As a King, no doubt rumours, castigators stories and even untrue stories will surround his name, maybe we would keep vigil until the Oba himself breaks word.
