It's no more news that the son of late senator Buruju Kashamu who represented Ogun east Federal Constituency in the Nigerian Senate has been fingered in the death of Dowen College pupil, Sylvester Oromoni, but the popular concern is what people have to say and what people are saying about the Kashamus.

His father was a criminal as well, no DNA test needed.

Well, you know the popular saying; a lion doesn't beget a lamb and monkey no dey born goat.
If going by popular opinion, then its obvious that Michael Adewale Kashamu, one of the sons of Senator Buruji Kashamu, took after him. Senator Buruji may not have died a convict because of the Nigerian political and legal corrupt system as expressed by the former president Olusegun Obasanjo, but he died in the hearts of many a man of something else.
A family member of the Kashamus, Mr. Mutairu Kashamu, has issued a statement to debunk the involvement of Michael Kashamu in Sylvesters death.

"Our son, Adewale Michael Kashamu, had acted as a school father for the late Sylvester in his first session in the school at the request of Sylvester’s sister who is also a student of the school"

“However, in the 2021 session commencing in September 2021 Adewale Michael Kashamu was moved to a different floor in the boarding house and engrossed in his own studies and activities, he was no longer as close to Sylvester as in the previous session", the statement reads in part.
The questions many asked are: why was Adewale moved from his former floor?
Also, despite not being close to Adewale since he was moved to another floor as claimed, how come he knew each time Sylvester was beaten if he is not one of the bullies?
"Adewale Michael Kashamu is a compassionate and considerate boy. Sometime last session, some boys had been accused of beating Sylvester with belts and seizing his foodstuff but Adewale Michael Kashamu was not involved at all. He was in fact in sympathy with Sylvester over that incident", Is this statement not self-incriminating? The same last session he was moved to another floor and he stopped being close to Sylvester, he was accused of bullying him(Sylvester Oromoni).
“Adewale Michael Kashamu is not aware that an identical incident occurred again this year leading to Sylvester’s injury and death".
In this paragraph above, it's stated that he ( Adewale) was not aware that Sylvester Oromoni was bullied. However, in the next paragraph, it is stated that he Adewale "had seen Sylvester limping".
“Adewale Michael Kashamu had seen Sylvester limping sometime late in November and merely empathized with him and advised him to go to the school clinic".
As much as one try to rack the brain to relate these two paragraphs, they appear more contradictory to each other in meaning than they are correlating.
You said he was not aware that another similar incident had happened to Sylvester, yet you say he was advised by same person (Adewale) who wasn't aware of the incident, to visit the school clinic.
Well, let everyone keep their fingers crossed and see how this is concluded at end of the police and Lagos state government investigations.
