Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken about his divorce with his ex-Moroccan wife, Laila. Ned Nwoko write: " the truth about Ned Nwoko's separation from Moroccan wife, Laila", on Instagram.
He said their divorce has no connection with "Kayamata" as being peddled by media outlets in Nigeria.
He revealed that his ex-wife, Laila became unruly and did things without his knowledge which among was undergoing plastic surgery without his knowledge, tripping to club houses where he eventually contracted COVID-19.
Below is his statement:
"The attention of Prince Ned Nwoko’s Media directorate has been drawn to a publication trending especially in the social media linking his separation with his Moroccan born wife, Laila Nwoko, to the influence of a local aphrodisiac called “Kayamata”, vended by one Hauwa Saidu Mohammed, commonly known as Jaruma.
"Our initial reaction was to have completely ignored the silly insinuation. But given the pervasive nature of fake news and the tendency of mischief-makers to peddle misinformation on social media, we resolved albeit reluctantly, to clarify issues for two reasons:
"Falsehood gone viral, need to be dismantled in order not to create the wrong impressions before unsuspecting members of the public. More importantly, Prince Ned Nwoko with his global reputation as a foremost philanthropist, distinguished patriot, and conscientious billionaire business mogul can never allow shallow tale mongers to impugn his impeccable character and pedigree", he wrote.

Recall that on the 2nd of November, 2021, Laila Nwoko, who was the fifth wife of Ned Nwoko, announced on Instagram, thus:
“Hello guys I just want to say that no one has the right to talk about my marriage, stop talking about people’s lives and I have divorced already, nothing between me and him and anybody who followed me because of him, you can unfollow me pls thanks.”
