Jurgen Klopp Warns Steven Gerrad Not To Be In A Hurry To Replace Him.

 

Jurgen Klopp has warned Steven Gerrard he should be in no rush to succeed him as Liverpool manager If he doesn't want to end up like Lampard, Who was a former Chelsea boss. The new Aston Villa boss has made an encouraging start to his Premier League managerial career having made a great impact at Rangers where he masterminded the end of Celtic’s domestic dominance.Given his Liverpool links, Gerrard has been hotly tipped to replace Klopp whenever the German departs but the 54-year-old has warned the club legend to wait for the right moment, citing Frank Lampard’s downfall at Chelsea as a reason to remain patient.  Klopp when asked if he could foresee Gerrard managing Liverpool in the future. "Everything he did so far looks good and he’s going in absolutely the right direction. The only problem is when is the right moment for that.We saw it with  Frank [Lampard] at Chelsea. Stevie is doing really well but is very young from a manager’s point of view.

Lampard returned to Stamford Bridge as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement in the summer of 2019 having spent just a solitary season at Derby. The former England international secured a top four finish and reached the FA Cup final during his first campaign, but things quickly unraveled after he oversaw a near unprecedented summer of spending and was sacked just six months after investing over £150million on new players.

Some popular opinions have it that it is wrong for Juregn Klopp to think Steven Gerald  will fail if he replaces him as the mananger at Anfeild. Steven Gerrard left Rangers to become the new manager at Aston Villa; Gerrard, 41, had been in charge of Rangers since June 2018 and led the club to the Scottish Premiership title last season,  ending Celtic's nine-year reign as champions. Rangers said they "flourished" under Gerrard's management and that he helped build an "outstanding, highly competitive playing squad which is capable of both winning and entertaining on all fronts".
