I found this video interesting and worth learning from; this is because, I have been a victim of this type of theft severally. In fact, it's one of the major reasons I have decided never to live down stairs anymore.

I had gone to bed in a very rainy night having gone through the Lagos characteristic gridlock orchestrated by the Lagosians' impatience and lawlessness on the road, only to wake in the morning and realize that my personal belongings had disappeared.

 The whether was cold as it was about to rain. Half the number of my family were already asleep when I returned that night. I got into my room and pulled my trousers that had my wallet, my phones, and my International passport in its pockets. I tiredly dumped the trousers on an armed chair in my room. Thereafter, I headed to my bed after I had showered.

As interesting as it's unforgettable, I woke in the morning under the clement weather of the new dawn. Recall that it had rained last night even up to the early hours of the new day. When I started looking for my phones, international passport, and wallet, I sweated even in the cold weather of the new dawn. At first, I thought my wife was playing prank on me. I have to wake her up to demand the whereabout of my items. I had forgotten that I didn't remove those items from my trousers pocket. As early as it was, my children were all woken to join in the search for my missing items.

" How can my phones, wallet, and international passport disappear in this very room!" My voice ranted. 

Everyone was looking for my missing items until my shabbily folded window curtains caught my attention. I went and lifted the curtains and then beheld that the net had been torn. Beyond the net, on the ground, was my drenched trousers.

The phones were gone as well as  the money in the wallet but the wallet and my International passport were magnanimously left behind for me.

I learnt my lesson afterwards. Now, my phones also my wallet are usually under the bed or the underneath the particular pillow I place my head on while sleeping whether at night or in the day.
