CHELSEA BOSS TUCHEL WARNS ANTONIO RUDIGER. SAYS NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB.

 

Rudiger's current deal at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season, and it looks increasingly likely that he will leave on a free transfer next summer. A number  of Europe's top clubs are thought to be queueing up for the 28-year-old, and overseas clubs will be able to open talks with him from January 1. Rudiger is reportedly asking for a
£200,000-a-week offer from Chelsea - more than double his current £90,000-a-week wage - but could stand to earn almost £400,000 a week elsewhere, making him one of the world's best-paid defenders.


Chelsea are understood to have so far offered him £140,000 a week but have not returned to the table with a fresh offer since August and, while Tuchel stressed the Germany international's importance to the team, he also warned that the club must come first. According to Tuchel "nobody is bigger than the club and this is a team effort and a strong club"

Accoding to popular opinions, Chelsea have been told to pay Antonio Rudiger whatever he wants as Blues boss Thomas Tuchel made his feelings on the defender and his situation clear. Rudiger has become a pivotal member of Tuchel’s team since the German brought him in from the cold after replacing Frank Lampard as Chelsea manager. He has started all but one game in the Premier League and Champions League so far this season, helping Tuchel’s men to keep 10 clean sheets in those 15 matches. The 28-year-old’s stunning run of form continued at the King Power Stadium on Saturday when he opened the scoring for the Blues with a brilliant header to set them on their way to a 3-0 win over Leicester.


As speculation continues to mount over the German’s future, with the defender out of contract at the end of the season. The Blues star is believed to be demanding a wage in excess of £200,000 a week, a figure the club are unwilling to match. Rudiger deserves whatever amount he wants to be paid, If you look at the Chelsea's team one player you wouldn’t want to lose, for a number of week or a number of games, he would  be one of the first on your list in terms of you’d want to keep him in there. He is  influential to the team, he’s aggressive, he sets the tone a lot of the time, and when they need to shut the door at the back he’s normally the one who puts his foot in where it hurts. Tuchel  is certainly keen for Chelsea to find a breakthrough in their talks with the star defender, making his feelings on the matter clear to see.
