Popular Nigerian songwriter and activist, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa has taken a slight dig at the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja ll whose wife, Sikekunola Naomi Announced her separation from the king in a lengthy post on Facebook.
Queen Naomi alleges that the Prominent Yoruba king is man of double standard whose personality contradicts his public image. She added that her reason for divorcing the king was not because of his infidelity nor religious difference:"the decision to move on did not come because his majesty is married to another queen”, she wrote
“I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on. Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.”
Meanwhile, Charly Boy waded into the marriage crisis of the 47-year-old king, expressing what appears to be mockery hidden in sympathy:
"See dis my fine bobo. How e come be say in less dan 2months 2 of it wives just divorce and ran away from it kingdom", he wrote on his Instagram account.

It is not clear whether Charly Boy is being sympathetic to the King's plight or otherwise. His cryptic message: "true true, all day glitters is not gold", does have two interpretations; for the king and against his embattled wife or against the king and in support of the queen's claim that the king is a man of double standard.
