Bola Ahmed Tinubu Finally Speaks About His 2023 Presidential Ambition

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has spoken about his rumoured 2023 presidential ambition. The Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) while addressing the press yesterday in Abuja after his meeting with the Northern Alliance Committee in Abuja, noted that he will not disappoint those calling for his presidency in 2023.

He further revealed that he is building bridges and making consultations before he will officially declare his stance.

"I’m not going to turn them down but I will still effectively and widely consult, particularly brainstorm with my friends and find a date to come out openly to tell Nigerians”, he said.

Tinubu who played a vital role in the emergence of President Buhari as the winner of the 2015 presidential election, noted that he does not want to be a distraction to the president.

“But the president is still in office. I don’t want to distract him from all the challenges that he might face today”.

“So, don’t muddle the political water. Consult, make our programme known to the people later”.

The Exola TV understands that the All Progressive Congress (APC) might succumb to the pressing and agitation for president Muhammadu Buhari's successor to come from the Southern part of Nigeria. Though there is no provision for zoning in the Nigerian constitution nor in the ruling party's constitution. However, it's morally binding on the north who are arguably twice the population of the Southern Nigeria, and having produced   President Buhari, to allow a Southern succeed president in 2023.

Interestingly, the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu and Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu have unofficially made their interest in the highest seat known to Nigerians.

Whether this happens or not, 2023 presidential election predictably, will be a redefining moment in Nigeria.
