A pastor of the Apostolic Church of Christ in Lagos whose name is given as Izuchukwu Anoloba has been arrested for kidnapping a Catholic Priest in Imo State and collecting ransom to the tune of five (5) million Naira.
The Catholic Priest, Fr Fidelis Ekemgba (45), is in charge of St. Peters Catholic Parish in Umunohu Amakaohia in the Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State.
Operatives of the Imo State Police Command arrested Pastor Anoloba in Lagos and his gang members in Imo State.
While speaking to newsmen, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Hussaini, revealed that Pastor Anoloba kidnapped the Catholic Priest and kept him in his hideout for seven days. He further revealed that Pastor Anoloba and his gang demanded five (5) million naira ransom for the release of their victim. It also confirmed that the kidnappers got the five million Naira ransom before the Priest's release.

The police commissioner added that Pastor Anoloba was arrested in Lagos through special operation of the anti-kidnapping unit of the police command.
While speaking to newsmen, pastor Anoloba revealed that he only got 1.5 million Naira as his share from the 5 million Naira ransom.
