Watch Gun Battle Between Bandits And Police Along Abuja-kaduna Highway

 

A few days ago, armed men, reported to be bandits were filmed by a motorist Kidnapping and shooting travelers at will along the Abuja-kaduna Highway.

Reports have it that not less than five travellers were kidnapped and two killed by the bandits.

Above is  a video of gun duel between the escaping bandits and some security personnels. While escaping on their vehicle, the bandits unwittingly ran into a security checkpoint a few kilometers from where the kidnapping had happened.

The bandits on sighting the checkpoint, escaped into the bush abandoning their victims on the highway.  Policemen sent to reinforced the operatives at the checkpoint, came from behind, making the bandits caught in between combined armed men of the Nigeria Police and the Nigeria Army.

The security situation in Nigeria is increasingly worrisome under the Muhammadu Buhari's administration. Stories of Armed bandits' killings and other criminal activities are now frequent reports in the National Dailies. 

With the underpopulation of the Nigeria Armed Forces in relationship to the ever-increasing Nigeria's population, estimated at 200 million, it's near-impossible for the government to ensure security of lives and property.

Also, the under-equiped men of the Nigeria Armed Forces, have severally protested  Nigeria lacks of military wares that will facilitate the war against banditry and terrorism in the country.

There is also concern about the President Buhari's kid glove hands with which he is handling banditry and insecurity, generally, in the north when compared with the way he is treating civil, nonviolent agitations in the southeastern region of the country.
