Watch As Students Challenge A Lecturer For Demanding 9000 Naira Bribe From Each Of The Students For Them To Pass His Course

A Lecturer of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State, was nearly beaten by the ND 2 students of Chemical Engineering Department of Polytechnic for his bribe  demand.

The above videos shows students resistant to a Lecturer's bribe demand; the Lecturer had informed the class representative to inform his coursemates that whoever among them desires to "do well in his course" would offer him a "sorting fee" of 9000 Naira.

The Lecturer whose name is not given here for some reasons, imposed 9000 naira bribe on the students who desire an "A" in his three-unit course.

Consequently, the Lecturer who is said to be notorious for his bribery and corruption, was resisted by the students when he visited their classroom to reiterate his condition for an "A" in his course.

Lectures demanding bribe from students for them to pass their courses, is becoming a norm across Nigeria tertiary institutions. This has not only affected the quality of students the institutions produce every year but also the quality of leaders the Nigerian nation has.

Bribery and Corruption has permeated every aspects of the Nigerian nation; evident in every sector of the Nation. This inadvertently, is the byproduct of a doomed nation
