Watch As Lagos Residents Protest Against Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu For Stealing And Selling Their Land And Buildings

 

The Residents of Ijegun, Ije-ododo, Abule-Ado in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State today, November, protested against Lagos State Government, led by Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu over alleged collusion with a few privileged persons to illegally destroy their buildings and deprive them of their years of "toils".

The aggrieved protesters who stormed the Ikotun/Igando Local Council Development Area today,  claimed that the government abandoned the master plan for Lagos mega city envisioned in 1972 and incorporated by Raji Fashola's administration in 2010; hence, accuses the governor of colluding with a few privileged persons to dispossess them of their property.

They further alleged that Governor Sanwo-Olu had been bribed to abandon the original master plan and urged the governor to revert his decision to abandon the Lagos mega city plan.

 In the letter submitted to the Chairman of the Ikotun/Igando LCDA, the Protesters noted that not less than five people have lost their lives in the course of the state government illegal demolition of their buildings.
